Full Members have been actively engaged in the teaching of Round Dance basics and/or other phases of Round Dance movements or forms for at least three (3) years. Full members have full voting rights and may serve on any committee or leadership position in ROUNDALAB.
Description
Individual membership includes access to current standards manuals, teaching videos, education and curriculum materials, marketing material, new and updates from the home office, leadership opportunities, professional journals, networking opportunities, and discounts on products and subscriptions. US members receive a $2,000,000 liability insurance policy and may purchase performance licenses through ASCAP, BMI, and SESAC (domestic members are required to either purchase performanc license from ROUNDALAB or provide proof of license purchased elsewhere). Additionally, US members may purchase a Line Dance Rider which licenses Line Dance events.
Licensing fees are based on the number of anticipated events per year. An ‘Event’ is any single class or dance which is not part of a festival or convention. There are two levels of licensing: 51 or fewer events, 52 or more events.
New Membership categories:

Associate Members have been actively engaged in the teaching of Round Dance basics and/or other phases of Round Dance movements or forms for fewer than three (3) years. Associate Member Units shall have all the rights and privileges of other classes of Member Units except they may not be elected to the Board of Directors or vote in the general assembly nor vote for the Board of Directors.
Cuer Members are actively engaged in cueing round dances at square or round dance clubs, festivals or programs. Cuer Member shall have all the rights and privileges of other classes of Members except they may not be elected to the Board of Directors. After a Cuer Member Unit has been cueing for three years, they may then vote on all matters except Standards.
